Dr. Ojha is an experienced Europe and America trained Geologist/GIS Expert/Naturalist, who grew up and spent years as a field geologist in the remote Himalayas. Dr.Tank Ojha and his staffs have organized and lead tours and expeditions throughout the Himalaya for over twenty years. We spend large amount of our profit for land degradation studies, soil and watershed conservation projects, climate change adaptation, and environmental awareness program. The lower elevation regions of Himalayas are densely populated and people overexploit the natural resources in particular removing the forest cover for cultivation, housing, fire wood, and fodder collection. Overexploitation of forests degrades the watersheds and causes the landslides, surface soil erosion and flood hazards. Anthropogenic (man made) environmental degradation is a serious problem in Nepal Himalayas, apart of many other mitigation efforts environmental awareness program among the village school teachers, students and social workers is very important. On top of funding the basic research for land degradation studies Himalayan Experience treks and Expedition (P) LTD is heavily engaged on environmental awareness program among the village people of far west Nepal. We are proud to provide tour services for private, commercial, individual and research groups. Our services include sight seeing, jeep tour, photo adventure, cultural, jungle, geological excursions, nature tours, elephant ride, trekking, river rafting, and mountain flight throughout Nepal, Tibet, India, and Bhutan. We use only high quality, clean and dependable camping gear and transportation. We provide three delicious (continental/native) meals a day that meet U.S. and European hygienic standards. For our guests, Himalayan Experience has a comfortable welcome-lounge with a collection of reading materials on geology, culture, history, fauna and flora of the Himalaya. Our office also has fax, photocopier, and computers for use by our guests. The staffs at Himalayan Experience are highly trained interpretative naturalists, who specialize in providing informative and interesting tours that focus on Himalayan geology, botany, wildlife, anthropology, culture, customs and traditions.

Himalayan Experience specializes in one to four-week tours and outdoor adventures. We work very closely with our clients to customize their tour. Shorter sightseeing tours can also be arranged with prior notification. Our trip packages include: domestic airfare, transportation during the tour, most outdoor adventure equipment, permit fee, all meals and accommodations. Trip duration includes international air travel time. Trips typically originate and end in Kathmandu. Time is allotted for exploring the Kathmandu area.
