Text Box: Everest Trek Just half of the world’s highest peaks above than 8,000 meter, lies in Everest region in­cluding the highest peak Mt. Everest (8850m). This region is famous for its rare spectacular, incredible views of snowy summits, glaciers. It was early 18th century, while some British surveyors were busy with their heavy brass theodolites at Ganges. One survey officer cried “ Sir, I have discovered the highest mountain in the world.” Text Box: Since then so-called Everest “MOUNTAIN WITHOUT MERCY” became a popular site for the naturalists and mountaineers. Since then many mountaineers tried to step on the top of Everest. First time in the history on 29th May 1953, a Newzealand beekeeper Edmund Hillary and his guide Tenjing Norgye finally stepped the top of Everest. Each year, there are dozen expeditions. Many mountaineers from all over the world try to step the top of the world. Few mountaineers are lucky for their mission however there are many unlucky mountaineers they get buried there under the snow and never come back. Every year, over 40,000 westerners visit Everest region and everyone tries to trek up to base camp. No doubt, the mighty Everest is so beautiful and worth place to visit. Unfortunately, the tourists, mountaineers and their supporting crew over crowd Everest region and they leave trash all over and make the trekking route ugly looking. If you want to be away from the crowed, you may see the Everest by scheduled mountain flights and plan to trek in other virgin places in Nepal, like Far west Nepal where there are no many tourists. Less crowed in Everest Region will help to protect the fragile ecosystem there. Let us preserve this serene and mighty place for our future generation. Day 05: Phakding to Manjo (2835m). Day 06: Manjo to Namche (3440m). Day 07: Rest for acclimatization at Namche. Day 08: Namche to Tengboche (3867m). Day 09: Tengboche to Pangboche (3985m). Day 10: Pangboche to Dingboche (4530m). Day 11: Rest at Dingboche for acclimatization. Day 12: Dingbo­che to Lobuche (4930m). Day 13: Lobuche to Kalapatthar (5546m) to Lobuche. Day 14: Lobuche to Pheriche (4243m). Day 15: Pheriche to Tengboche. Day 16: Tengboche to Namche via Khumjung (3790m). Day 17: Namche to Manjo. Day 18: Manjo to Lukla. Day 19: Lukla to Kathmandu.
