Text Box: Langtang Trek
Langtang valley! The valley of sky soaring peaks and glaciers located very close to the north side of Capital City Kathmandu is a fun place to trek. Visited by only few tourists the trek leads very close to a glacier at the foot of Langtang peak without climbing very high altitude (4361m max). The return path passes through holy lakes of Gosaikunda. Gosaikunda is a sacred lake, which was created by Lord Shiva to quench his thirst obtaining water by piercing a glacier with his trident after he swallowed poison that threatened to destroy the whole world.
