Kakani to Dhulikhel Trek
 This
is a fascinating trek starts very close from Capital City Kathmandu (1.5 hours drive). The
trail goes all along the ridge top; high peaks are visible all the time during whole trek
period. View of Kathmandu City to the south and view of high peaks to the north are the
great attractions of this trek. The trail passes maximum elevation of 2729m (8951ft). No
prior experience of hiking is required for this trek. Also this trek is quite suitable for
busy professionals who they cannot take off from their job for the longer period. At the
end of trek we will drive you to Pokhara (a lake city with magnificent view of Fishtail
and Annapurna range). After one-day sight seeing in Pokhara the driving continues to
Chitwan (a biggest wild life reserve in Nepal) where you will explore tropical fauna and
flora on elephant's back. We recommend this trek for photographers. For photography
purpose this is one of the best trek. In this trek, in a small period of time one can get
a sense of whole terrain, culture, fauna and flora in Himalayan region.
Detailed itinerary:
Day 01 to 03: Arrive Kathmandu. Day 04: Drive to Kakani and hike up to Shivapuri Lekh. Day
05: Shivapuri to Chisapani. Day 06: Chisapani to Nagarkot. Day 07: Drive from Nagarkot to
Dhulikhel to Kathmandu. Day 08: Drive to Pokhara. Day 09: Sight- seeing in Pokhara
including early morning tour of famous view point Sarangkot. Day 10: Drive to Chitwan
National Park. Evening Jungle walk. Day 11: Morning elephant ride to chase the rhinos and
elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu via high country scenic road.
Day 13: Sightseeing and shopping in Kathmandu. Day 14 to 15: Fly back home.
