Rolwaling
Trek
Rolwaling Himal is the other name of Gauri Shankar Himal and located between
Langtang and Khumbu ranges. Rolwaling region is fully dominated by Tibetan culture. The
trek route passes through 5793m high ridge from this ridge the view of Mount Everest is
superb. Tso Rolpo Lake on trekking route at an altitude of 4400m is threatening the lower
settlements by the fear of breaking the lake anytime. Trek starts from Barhabise (six
hours drive from Kathmandu). Prior experience of hiking and good health is required for
this trek.

itinerary:
Day 01 to 03: Arrive Kathmandu (1311m). Day 04: Drive Kathmandu to Barhabise (980m). Day
05: Barhabise to Sidrothan (1700m). Day 06: Sidrothan to Dolangsa (3000m). Day 07:
Dolangsa to Bigugompa (2519m). Day 08: Bigugompa to Laduk (1700m). Day 09: Laduk to Jagat
(1600m). Day 10: Jagat to Simigaon (2019m). Day 11: Simigaon to Shapka (2600m). Day 12:
Shapka to Manebug Kharka (3900m). Day 13: Manebug Kharka rest for acclimatization. Day 14:
Manebug Kharka to Beding (3693m). Day 15 to 17: Beding to Glacier (5000m) via Tso Rolpo
Lake. Day 18: Glacier rest for acclimatization. Day 19: Glacier to Tashi Lapcha (High camp
5793m). Day 20: Tashi Lapcha rest for acclimatization. Day 21: Climb up to the Parcharmo
Peak (6273m) and back to Tashi Lapcha. Day 22: Tashi Lapcha to Thengpo (4700m). Day 23:
Thengpo to Thame (3800m). Day 24: Thame to Namche Bazaar (3440m). Day 25: Namche Bazaar to
Phakding (2640m). Day 26: Phakding to Lukla (2840m). Day 27: Lukla to Kathmandu (flight).
Day 28: Sightseeing and shopping in Kathmandu. Day 29 to 30: Fly back home.
